Unspecified in the provided excerpt (likely a narrator/teacher continuing the Adhyaya’s tīrtha-māhātmya context)

Concept: Contact with a sacred place purifies and releases one from sins, granting heavenly residence—tīrtha as a conduit of grace and karmic cleansing.

Application: Create ‘tīrtha-moments’ through regular pilgrimage, temple visits, and mindful bathing/clean living; pair outer purification with inner repentance and devotion.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: tirtha

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A serene sacred precinct glows as pilgrims step onto a sanctified bank, their bodies and minds washed clean by an unseen holiness. Above, the vision of svarga appears: a jewel-studded palace with luminous pillars, where the purified soul is welcomed into radiant peace.","primary_figures":["pilgrim devotee","celestial attendants (gandharvas/apsaras)","guardian deity presence (subtle Vishnu emblem)"],"setting":"A tīrtha riverbank or sacred courtyard (unnamed), transitioning upward into a celestial palace scene with jeweled architecture.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["crystal white","lapis blue","lotus pink","gold leaf","jade green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: sacred tīrtha scene with a devotee purified at the holy spot, upper register showing svarga palace adorned with jewels, heavy gold leaf on palace and halos, rich reds/greens, ornate pillars, symmetrical devotional composition emphasizing pāpa-kṣaya and heavenly reward.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: tranquil riverbank pilgrimage with delicate foliage and soft water ripples, a subtle celestial palace in the sky rendered in cool blues and pale gold, refined figures, lyrical atmosphere of cleansing and ascent.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: devotee at a sacred spot with ritual purity cues (water vessel, folded hands), bold outlines, jewel-palace in upper band, red/yellow/green pigments with blue accents, temple-wall narrative clarity of purification leading to svarga.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: tīrtha-mahātmya allegory framed by lotus borders, central devotee at sacred waters, upper medallion of jeweled svarga palace, deep blue cloth ground with gold highlights, intricate floral patterns and auspicious Vaishnava symbols (shankha-chakra) subtly integrated."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"serene","sound_elements":["flowing water","temple bells","soft tanpura drone","birds at dusk","gentle conch"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: भवेत्सोपि = भवेत् + सः + अपि; तिष्ठेत्स्वर्गलोके = तिष्ठेत् + स्वर्गलोके; रत्नभूषिते is adjectival locative agreeing with प्रासादे.

FAQs

It presents the tīrtha as a purifier: merely being there (or performing the implied rite there) is said to cleanse a person and free them from sin.

The verse emphasizes an otherworldly फल (phala): residence in Svarga, depicted as a jeweled palace—an image of celestial reward.

It implies moral reform through sacred association: purification is not only ritual but a turning away from pāpa, culminating in an elevated destiny.
