Narada (instructional narration within a technical/ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It emphasizes ritual purity through a prescribed substance, and highlights the sanctifying role of contact with the saintly (symbolized by dust from the feet of the worthy) as an aid to purification.
Bhakti is indirectly reinforced by valuing the company and blessings of the sādhus; even in technical rites, sanctity is linked to reverence for the virtuous and their spiritual merit.
It reflects applied ritual know-how (prayoga)—the precise selection and combination of substances used in procedures connected with purity and observance, characteristic of technical sections in Book 1.3.
