The Description of the Four Durgā Mantras
रत्याद्यास्त्रिषु कोणेषु पूजयेत्पूर्ववत्सुधीः । हृहृल्लेखाः पंचपूज्या मध्ये दिक्षु च मंत्रिणा ॥ १३६ ॥
ratyādyāstriṣu koṇeṣu pūjayetpūrvavatsudhīḥ | hṛhṛllekhāḥ paṃcapūjyā madhye dikṣu ca maṃtriṇā || 136 ||
Der Weise soll, wie zuvor, in den drei Ecken (die Gottheiten) beginnend mit Rati verehren. Die fünf mystischen Silbenformen „hṛ–hṛ“ (lekhā) sind vom Mantrakenner in der Mitte und ebenso in den Himmelsrichtungen zu verehren.

It teaches that worship is not only devotional but also a disciplined sacred geometry of placement—corners, center, and directions—so that the mantra-field becomes complete and spiritually protected.
Bhakti here is expressed through precise, reverent procedure: honoring divine presences in their assigned places and worshipping mantra-forms themselves, showing devotion through careful ritual obedience.
It reflects technical ritual science—mantra-application and spatial arrangement (dik-bandha/nyasa-like placement), where written syllabic forms (lekhā) and directional worship are integral to correct puja performance.
