The Classification and Explanation of Yakṣiṇī Mantras
Kālī and Tārā Vidyās
lakṣārṇapūvaṃ bhrūmadhyasaṃsthite'timanohare | tārādipaṃcamaṃ nyāsaṃ kuryātsarveṣṭasiddhaye || 56 ||
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches an inner ritual (nyāsa) where mantra is installed at the brow-center (bhrūmadhya), indicating concentration and subtle-body alignment as a means to accomplish one’s intended spiritual aims.
While technical in tone, it supports bhakti-sādhana by prescribing disciplined mantra-practice; focused nyāsa steadies the mind and helps the devotee sustain one-pointed remembrance during worship.
It highlights applied ritual technique—mantra-vidhi and nyāsa (a technical upāsanā procedure)—including the specific locus (brow-center) and a counted sequence (“up to the fifth”) for correct performance.
