The Recitation of the Thousand Names of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa (Yugala-Sahasranāma) and Śaraṇāgati-Dharma
Narada (teaching within the Vedanga/technical-discourse context of Book 1.3)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that the fruits of past karma—worldly experiences and even the span of life—unfold under the Lord’s governance, encouraging surrender and steadiness rather than anxiety over outcomes.
By stating that Kṛṣṇa Himself brings karmic results to fruition, the verse supports bhakti as trusting the Lord’s ordering of life while one focuses on dharma and devotion instead of trying to control results.
It aligns with Jyotiṣa/āyuṣya considerations: longevity and life-events are treated as karma-linked outcomes, yet ultimately presented as executed under divine authority—useful for a dharmic, non-fatalistic approach to astrological/lifespan discussions.
