यावत्संतर्पयेन्मंत्री तावत्संख्यं जपेन्मनुम् । तर्पणेनैव कार्याणि साधयेदखिलान्यपि ॥ १३५ ॥
yāvatsaṃtarpayenmaṃtrī tāvatsaṃkhyaṃ japenmanum | tarpaṇenaiva kāryāṇi sādhayedakhilānyapi || 135 ||
So lange und in so vieler Zahl der Mantra-Übende tarpaṇa zur Sättigung darbringt, in eben dieser Zahl soll er das Mantra wiederholen. Wahrlich, durch tarpaṇa allein kann er auch alle übrigen rituellen Vorhaben vollenden.

A practical ritual-rule of saṅkhyā (count/measure): the japa-count should match the duration/extent of tarpaṇa, reflecting technical procedural precision typical of kalpa-oriented instruction (ritual science within Vedāṅga practice).
