Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 103

The Exposition of the Krishna Mantra (Kṛṣṇa-mantra-prakāśa): Nyāsa, Dhyāna, Worship, Yantra, and Prayoga

तर्पयित्वा खंडमिश्रदुग्धबुद्ध्या जलैरिह । जपेदष्टशतं मन्त्री भावयन्पुरुषोत्तमम् ॥ १०३ ॥

tarpayitvā khaṃḍamiśradugdhabuddhyā jalairiha | japedaṣṭaśataṃ mantrī bhāvayanpuruṣottamam || 103 ||

Nachdem er hier die Tarpaṇa mit Wasser vollzogen hat, es im Geist als mit Zucker vermischte Milch betrachtend, soll der Mantra-Übende das Mantra achthundertmal rezitieren, während er Puruṣottama (Viṣṇu) meditiert.
