Hanūmaccarita
The Account of Hanumān
Narada (narrating within a dialogue context associated with Sanatkumara traditions)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights humility and disciplined devotion: even sacred remnants (ucchiṣṭa/prasāda) are accepted according to proper command and context, showing reverence for dharma and the superior’s instruction.
Bhakti is shown as seva (service) guided by obedience—Hanumān receives what is given, and the act of consuming another’s remnants is framed as valid when done under the devotee’s or lord’s explicit instruction, not by personal impulse.
It reflects ritual etiquette and discipline around offerings and consumption (ācāra), aligning with dharma-oriented conduct that supports correct practice alongside technical learning in the Third Pada.
