Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It emphasizes that mantra-power is safeguarded by precision: correct chandas (metre) and continuity with established procedure (pūrvavat) keep the rite aligned with Vedic order (ṛta) and therefore spiritually effective.
While primarily technical, it supports bhakti by teaching disciplined, faithful execution of sacred recitation—devotion expressed through careful adherence to the revealed method rather than improvisation.
Vedāṅga Chandas: it specifies the metres—Triṣṭubh for the first mantra and Jagatī for the rest—guiding correct recitation rhythm in a ritual sequence of twenty mantras.
