Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Vedanga/discipline context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It establishes guru-prasāda (the guru’s satisfaction) as the decisive condition for attaining desired results, indicating that spiritual and ritual success is rooted in disciplined submission to rightful instruction.
Though framed as discipline, it aligns with bhakti through guru-sevā: pleasing the guru through obedience and service becomes a devotional means by which blessings and attainments arise.
It highlights procedural authority in Vedic practice: actions are to be performed under guru-ājñā, either directly by the student or executed on the guru’s behalf—an applied rule of ritual training and discipline.
