धूपं दीपं प्रदायाथ नैवेद्यं च समर्पयेत् । अपूपमोदनं शाकमोदकान्वटकादिकम् ॥ ४५ ॥
dhūpaṃ dīpaṃ pradāyātha naivedyaṃ ca samarpayet | apūpamodanaṃ śākamodakānvaṭakādikam || 45 ||
Nachdem man Räucherwerk (dhūpa) und Licht (dīpa) dargebracht hat, soll man naivedya, die Speisegabe, darreichen: apūpa (Kuchen), modana (gekochter Reis), śāka (Gemüsespeisen), modaka (gefüllte Süßklöße) sowie vaṭaka und ähnliche Fritterspeisen.
