FAQs

It presents mantra as a disciplined, intention-driven force: when properly consecrated and applied, it is said to dissolve hostile cohesion by turning enemies against one another, thereby restoring safety for the practitioner.

Bhakti is not stated directly here; the verse belongs to technical prayoga. Indirectly, it assumes faith in sacred sound (mantra) and reverence for Vedic procedure—attitudes that, when oriented to Vishnu and dharma, support a devotional life.

It reflects ritual-technical practice centered on mantra application (abhimantrana) and a specific ritual placement (at a doorway/threshold), aligning with auxiliary disciplines used to execute rites correctly.
