Narada (teaching ritual remedy within Vedanga-oriented discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
The verse presents a śānti-oriented ritual act (homa) as a dharmic remedy: a pure offering made with faith is said to cut through “mahābhaya” (overwhelming fear) and reverse durgati (inauspicious trajectory).
While it is primarily a ritual instruction, the emphasis on purity and certainty implies śraddhā (trust) in sacred practice—an attitude aligned with bhakti, where sincere offering and reliance on dharma remove fear.
It highlights kalpa/ritual procedure: the specific dravya (dadhy-odana), the act of huti (offering into fire), and the intended phala (removal of fear and durgati), reflecting technical ritual application within Vedanga-style instruction.
