Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 187

Mahāviṣṇu-Mantras: Aṣṭākṣarī, Sudarśana-Astra, Nyāsa Systems, Āvaraṇa-Pūjā, and Prayogas

पांचजन्या प्रताराद्यो नमोंतः शंखपूजने । शार्ङ्गाय सशयांते च वर्मास्त्रं वह्निवल्लभा ॥ १८७ ॥

pāṃcajanyā pratārādyo namoṃtaḥ śaṃkhapūjane | śārṅgāya saśayāṃte ca varmāstraṃ vahnivallabhā || 187 ||

Bei der Verehrung der heiligen Muschel (Śaṅkha) verwende man die Mantras, die mit „Pāñcajanyā …“ beginnen und mit „namo’ntaḥ“ enden. Ebenso sind bei der Verehrung von Śārṅga, Viṣṇus Bogen, die mit „saśayānta“ schließenden (Mantras) zu sprechen; und für das schützende „Rüstungs‑Waffen“-Mantra (varmāstra) lautet es „Vahnivallabhā“.
