Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 60

Devapūjā-krama: Ārghya-saṃskāra, Maṇḍala–Nyāsa, Mudrā-pradarśana, Āvaraṇa-arcana, Homa, Japa, and Kṣamāpaṇa

तुरीयवनसंभूतं नानागुणमनोहरम् । अमंदसौरभपुष्पं गृह्यतामिदमुत्तमम् । जपाक्षतार्कधत्तूरान्विष्णौ नैवार्पयेत्क्वचित् ॥ ६० ॥

turīyavanasaṃbhūtaṃ nānāguṇamanoharam | amaṃdasaurabhapuṣpaṃ gṛhyatāmidamuttamam | japākṣatārkadhattūrānviṣṇau naivārpayetkvacit || 60 ||

Möge diese vortreffliche, stark duftende Blume angenommen werden—im Turīya-Wald entsprossen, anziehend durch viele Eigenschaften. Doch japā (Hibiskus), akṣata (ungebrochener Reis), arka und dhattūra sollen Viṣṇu zu keiner Zeit dargebracht werden.
