गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā
देहस्तु पापजनितः पूर्वमेवैनसा हतः । आत्मा ह्यभेद्यः पूर्णत्वाच्छास्त्राणामेष निश्चयः ॥ ५५ ॥
dehastu pāpajanitaḥ pūrvamevainasā hataḥ | ātmā hyabhedyaḥ pūrṇatvācchāstrāṇāmeṣa niścayaḥ || 55 ||
Der Körper ist aus Sünde geboren und in der Tat bereits durch eben dieses Vergehen niedergestreckt. Aber das Selbst ist wahrlich unzerbrechlich; weil es vollkommen ist, ist dies die feststehende Schlussfolgerung der Schriften.
