The Greatness of Viṣṇu
Viṣṇor Māhātmya
Narada (in dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
The verse elevates simple daily devotional services—cleaning sacred spaces and offering lamps—as powerful bhakti practices that purify the mind and can awaken subtle spiritual memory (jātismaratā).
It presents bhakti as consistent, heartfelt service (nitya-sevā) rather than mere theory: regular acts done with parā-bhakti become direct instruments of inner transformation.
While not a Vedāṅga lesson, it reflects applied ritual discipline (kalpa-oriented practice) through dīpa-dāna and cleanliness as part of proper worship conduct.
