Gṛhastha-nitya-karman: Śauca, Sandhyā-vidhi, Pañca-yajña, and Āśrama-krama
अमृतापिधानमसि भोज्यान्तेऽपः सकृत्पिबेत् । प्राणाद्या आहुतीर्दत्त्वाचम्य भोजनमाचरेत् ॥ ८२ ॥
amṛtāpidhānamasi bhojyānte'paḥ sakṛtpibet | prāṇādyā āhutīrdattvācamya bhojanamācaret || 82 ||
Mit den Worten: „Du bist die Bedeckung des amṛta, des Nektars“, soll man am Ende der Mahlzeit einmal Wasser schlucken. Danach gebe man die Opfergaben (āhuti), beginnend mit (dem Mantra) Prāṇa, vollziehe ācamana und schließe den Speiseritus ordnungsgemäß ab.

It sacralizes eating as a disciplined rite: the meal is sealed with mantra, purified by ācamana, and harmonized through prāṇāhuti—linking nourishment to prāṇa and inner purity.
By treating even ordinary acts like eating as offerings and mantra-infused discipline, it supports bhakti through constant remembrance and reverent conduct rather than mere ritualism.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) and śikṣā/mantra-prayoga are implied: correct sequencing—mantra utterance, single sip, prāṇa-related offerings, then ācamana—defines proper daily ācāra.
