आद्यंतकालयोर्मध्ये कालो ज्ञेयोऽतिदारुणः । प्रज्वलज्ज्वलनाकारः सर्वकर्मसु गर्हितः ॥ १८६ ॥

ādyaṃtakālayormadhye kālo jñeyo'tidāruṇaḥ | prajvalajjvalanākāraḥ sarvakarmasu garhitaḥ || 186 ||

Zwischen der Zeit des Anfangs und der Zeit des Endes ist Kāla, die Zeit, als überaus schrecklich zu erkennen: lodernd wie ein wütendes Feuer und bei allen Unternehmungen getadelt, denn sie verzehrt und bringt jedes Tun zum Verderben.
