Jyotiṣa-śāstra Saṅgraha: Threefold Division, Gaṇita Methods, Muhūrta, and Planetary Reckoning

स्यात्क्रमज्याविधिश्चैवमुक्रमज्यास्वपिस्मृतः । ज्यां प्रोह्य शेषं तत्त्वताश्वि हंतं तद्विवरोद्धृम् ॥ १०० ॥

syātkramajyāvidhiścaivamukramajyāsvapismṛtaḥ | jyāṃ prohya śeṣaṃ tattvatāśvi haṃtaṃ tadvivaroddhṛm || 100 ||

So ist das Verfahren der krama-jyā, der aufeinanderfolgenden Sinuswerte, dargelegt; und auch die Methode der u-krama-jyā, der umgekehrt aufeinanderfolgenden Sinuswerte, wird überliefert. Nachdem man die jyā (den Sinus) abgezogen hat, nehme man den Rest genau, schlage ihn rasch an und ziehe (berechne) daraus die entsprechende Differenz.
