तिप्त संतीति प्रथमो मध्यमः सिप्थस्थोत्तमः । मिव्वस्मसः परस्मै तु पादानां चा मपनेदम् ॥ १८ ॥
tipta saṃtīti prathamo madhyamaḥ sipthasthottamaḥ | mivvasmasaḥ parasmai tu pādānāṃ cā mapanedam || 18 ||
„Tipta“ und „saṃtīti“ sind als erste und mittlere Form zu verstehen; „sipthastha“ ist die beste (abschließende) Form. Für das parasmaipada (aktiver Gebrauch) wird auch die Tilgung (Elision) der pāda‑Elemente, also der Endungen, als Regel angegeben.
