Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 16

Vyākaraṇa-saṅgraha: Pada–Vibhakti–Kāraka–Lakāra–Samāsa

स्मृत्यर्थकर्मणि तथा करोतेः प्रतियत्नके । हिंसार्थानां प्रयोगे च कृतिकर्मणि कर्तरि ॥ १६ ॥

smṛtyarthakarmaṇi tathā karoteḥ pratiyatnake | hiṃsārthānāṃ prayoge ca kṛtikarmaṇi kartari || 16 ||

Ebenso, wenn eine Handlung zum Zwecke des Erinnerns (smṛty-artha) vollzogen wird, und wenn das Verb √kṛ „tun“ den Sinn bewusster Anstrengung trägt; ferner im Gebrauch von Ausdrücken, die Verletzung bedeuten; und bei Handlungen, die durch das absichtliche Unternehmen des Handelnden hervorgebracht werden—wird der Handelnde (kartṛ) als Träger und Bezugspunkt der Handlung verstanden.
