FAQs

The verse highlights the power of śravaṇa (receptive hearing): when true instruction on paramārtha is heard, the mind is shaken out of ordinary patterns and is driven toward the core purport of liberation.

Although framed in the language of paramārtha (highest truth), it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing śravaṇa—one of the primary bhakti practices—where hearing authentic teaching (often about Viṣṇu and dharma) moves the heart-mind toward realization.

No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is the disciplined practice of śravaṇa—structured listening to authoritative śāstra and teachers—as a method within Mokṣa-dharma.
