स्वाध्यायसंयमाभ्यां स दृश्यते पुरुषोत्तमः । तत्प्राप्तिकारणं ब्रह्म तवेतत्प्रतिपद्यते ॥ ३१ ॥

svādhyāyasaṃyamābhyāṃ sa dṛśyate puruṣottamaḥ | tatprāptikāraṇaṃ brahma tavetatpratipadyate || 31 ||

Durch svādhyāya, das eigene Studium der Schriften, und durch saṃyama, Selbstzucht, wird Puruṣottama, die Höchste Person, wahrhaft geschaut. Das Brahman, das die Ursache ist, Ihn zu erlangen—dies, o du, ist recht zu verstehen und zu verwirklichen.
