The Exposition of the Index (Anukramaṇī) of the Śrīmad Bhāgavata
Narada (within the Anukramanika-style summary, traditionally conveyed in the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It functions as an anukramaṇikā (index-like summary), highlighting authoritative spiritual dialogues—Vasudeva’s discourse, Dattātreya’s instruction to Yadu, and Kṛṣṇa’s teaching to Uddhava—as key sources of dharma, jñāna, and devotion.
By pointing to the Kṛṣṇa–Uddhava discourse and other saintly dialogues, the verse signals that bhakti is transmitted through sacred conversation (saṃvāda)—listening to and preserving teachings that center on Bhagavān and right living.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; rather, it catalogs major teaching dialogues, serving as a textual roadmap for where practical dharma and spiritual instruction are found.
