Narada
Vrata: Annāvrata (timed observance; grain-abundance rite)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states a phala-śruti: faithful observance on Śrāvaṇa Śukla Pañcamī yields both worldly nourishment (abundance of food) and a favorable post-death course (paraloka-gati).
By emphasizing āstikya—steadfast faith—as the inner qualification for a vrata, it frames ritual action as meaningful when grounded in sincere religious intent, aligning conduct with devotion.
It relies on calendrical discipline (tithi and lunar fortnight timing), a practical application aligned with Jyotiṣa-style ritual scheduling used for determining vrata days.
