Purāṇa
छंदः शास्त्रं सदाचारस्ततः स्नानविधिः स्मृतः । तर्पणं वैश्वदेवं च संध्या पार्वणकर्म च ॥ १६ ॥
chaṃdaḥ śāstraṃ sadācārastataḥ snānavidhiḥ smṛtaḥ | tarpaṇaṃ vaiśvadevaṃ ca saṃdhyā pārvaṇakarma ca || 16 ||
Als Nächstes werden in Erinnerung gerufen: die Lehre von den vedischen Metren (chandas), der Kodex rechten Wandels (sadācāra); sodann die vorgeschriebenen Regeln des rituellen Bades; ferner die Libationsriten (tarpaṇa), das Vaiśvadeva-Opfer, die Sandhyā-Verehrung und die an Parvan-Tagen, den heiligen Mondknoten, zu vollziehenden Observanzen.
