Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
आन्तरे चैव बाहों च राज्ञा यश्चाथ सर्वदा । आदिट्टो नैव कम्पेत स राजवसतिं वसेत्,जो राजाके द्वारा आन्तरिक (धन एवं स्त्री आदिकी रक्षा) और बाहा (शत्रुविजय आदि) कार्योंके लिये आदेश मिलनेपर कभी शंकित या भयभीत नहीं होता, वही राजाके यहाँ रह सकता है
āntare caiva bāhoś ca rājñā yaścātha sarvadā | ādiṣṭo naiva kampeta sa rājavasatiṁ vaset ||
Dhāumya sprach: „Nur der soll im Hause des Königs wohnen, der, wenn der König ihm innere Pflichten (Schutz von Reichtum und Frauenquartier) wie äußere Pflichten (Feinde bezwingen und den Sieg sichern) aufträgt, niemals wankt—weder aus Zweifel noch aus Furcht.“
