Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
अमात्यो हि बलाद् भोक्तुं राजानं प्रार्थयेत यः । न स तिष्ठेच्चिरं स्थानं गच्छेच्च प्राणसंशयम्,जो मन्त्री राजाको बलपूर्वक अपने अधीन करना चाहता है, वह अधिक समयतक अपने पदपर नहीं टिक सकता। इतना ही नहीं, उसके प्राणोंपर भी संकट आ जाता है
amātyo hi balād bhoktuṁ rājānaṁ prārthayet yaḥ | na sa tiṣṭhec ciraṁ sthānaṁ gacchec ca prāṇasaṁśayam ||
Dhaumya sprach: „Wenn ein Minister die Macht ‘genießen’ will, indem er den König bedrängt und ihn mit Gewalt unter seine Kontrolle zwingt, wird er nicht lange im Amt bleiben. Ja, bald gerät er sogar in Lebensgefahr.“
