Adhyāya 160: Dikpāla-Cosmography and the Sun’s Kālacakra (दिक्पाल-विश्ववर्णनम् तथा आदित्यस्य कालचक्रम्)

इहस्थैरेव तत्‌ सर्व श्रोतव्यं भरतर्षभा: । न कार्या व: कथंचित्‌ स्यात्‌ तत्राभिगमने मति:,भरतकुलभूषण पाण्डवो! तुम्हें यहीं रहकर वह सब कुछ देखना या सुनना चाहिये। वहाँ पर्वतके ऊपर जानेका विचार तुम्हें किसी प्रकार भी नहीं करना चाहिये

ihasthair eva tat sarvaṃ śrotavyaṃ bharatarṣabhāḥ | na kāryā vaḥ kathaṃcit syāt tatrābhigamane matiḥ |

Der Seher sprach: „O Bester der Bharatas, bleibt hier und erfahrt alles — indem ihr von diesem Ort aus seht und hört. Unter keinen Umständen soll euer Sinn sich dem Gedanken zuwenden, dort hinaufzugehen.“ Der Rat betont Selbstzucht und Gehorsam gegenüber weiser Führung: Neugier oder Impuls dürfen die Vorsicht nicht überstimmen, wenn eine Annäherung gefährlich oder verboten ist.
