Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
समाश्चास्य च गान्धारीं धृतराष्ट्र च माधव:
samāścāsya ca gāndhārīṃ dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca mādhavaḥ
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Auch Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa) trat heran und wandte sich an Gāndhārī und Dhṛtarāṣṭra, indem er nach dem Krieg mit ihnen sprach—eine Handlung, die königliche Trauer und Verantwortung unter die Forderungen von Dharma und Selbstbeherrschung stellt.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even amid irreversible loss, dharma requires approaching the grieving with composure and responsibility—seeking reconciliation, truthful counsel, and restraint rather than triumphalism or vengeance.
