Shloka 146

सिन्धुराजवधार्थाय प्रतिज्ञाते त्वयानघ । कृष्णेन दर्शित: स्वप्रे यस्तु शैलेन्द्रमूर्थनि,निष्पाप अर्जुन! जब तुमने सिंधुराजके वधकी प्रतिज्ञा की थी, उस समय स्वप्में भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने तुम्हें गिरिगजके शिखरपर जिनका दर्शन कराया था, ये वे ही भगवान्‌ शंकर संग्राममें तुम्हारे आगे-आगे चल रहे हैं। उन्होंने ही तुम्हें वे दिव्यास्त्र प्रदान किये थे, जिनके द्वारा तुमने दानवोंका संहार किया है

sindhurājavadhārthāya pratijñāte tvayānagha | kṛṣṇena darśitaḥ svapne yastu śailendramūrdhani || niṣpāpa arjuna! yadā tvaṃ sindhurājasya vadhaṃ pratijajñe, tadā svapne bhagavatā śrīkṛṣṇena śailendramūrdhani yasya te darśanaṃ kāritaṃ sa eva bhagavān śaṅkara idānīṃ saṅgrāme tava purataḥ purataḥ gacchati | sa eva te divyāstrāṇi pradadau, yaiḥ tvayā dānavāḥ saṃhatāḥ |

Vyāsa sprach: „O Makelloser! Als du gelobtest, König Sindhu zu töten, war die Gottheit, die dir Herr Kṛṣṇa im Traum auf einem Berggipfel zeigte, eben derselbe Herr Śaṅkara. Jetzt, in dieser Schlacht, schreitet er vor dir her und weist den Weg. Er war es, der dir jene göttlichen Waffen verlieh, mit denen du die Dānavas vernichtet hast.“
