Vaiśampāyana sprach: Von Īlina gebar Rathantarī fünf Söhne, beginnend mit Duṣyanta. Die Erzählung verzeichnet die geordnete Fortführung der Linie und betont die dharmische Bedeutung von Nachkommenschaft und Thronfolge im königlichen Haus.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores the dharmic value placed on lineage and rightful succession: the continuity of a royal house is maintained through legitimate progeny, which supports social order and the transmission of duty (dharma) across generations.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana continues a genealogical account, stating that Rathantarī, the wife of King Īlina, bore five sons, with Duṣyanta named first among them.
