Adhyāya 129 — Public Acclaim of the Pāṇḍavas and Duryodhana’s Appeal to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
तत उत्थाय कौन्तेयो भीमसेनो महाबल: । आजगाम महाबाहुर्मातुरन्तिकमञ्जसा,तब महाबली कुन्तीकुमार महाबाहु भीमसेन वहाँसे उठकर शीघ्र ही अपनी माताके समीप आ गये
tata utthāya kaunteyo bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ | ājagāma mahābāhur mātur antikam añjasā ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Da erhob sich Bhīmasena, Kuntīs Sohn, von großer Kraft und mächtigen Armen, und eilte sogleich an die Seite seiner Mutter.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Strength and heroism are best directed under dharmic guidance; the verse highlights prompt respect for a mother’s authority and the ethical ideal of seeking elder counsel before acting.
Bhīma rises and immediately approaches his mother Kuntī, indicating urgency and attentiveness to her presence or instruction, as narrated by Vaiśampāyana.
