विष्णुचक्रलाभो नाम (अर्धनारीश्वर-तत्त्वं, सती-पार्वती-सम्भवः, दक्षयज्ञविनाशः)

अनादृत्य कृतिं ज्ञात्वा सती दक्षेण तत्क्षणात् भस्मीकृत्वात्मनो देहं योगमार्गेण सा पुनः

anādṛtya kṛtiṃ jñātvā satī dakṣeṇa tatkṣaṇāt bhasmīkṛtvātmano dehaṃ yogamārgeṇa sā punaḥ

Als Satī sogleich erkannte, dass Dakṣa aus Verachtung gehandelt hatte, nahm sie diese Kränkung nicht an; auf dem Pfad des Yoga verbrannte sie ihren eigenen Leib im yogischen Feuer zu Asche und kehrte durch die Kraft des Yoga erneut zurück. In śaivischem Verständnis zeigt dies die Śakti des Herrn jenseits von pāśa (Bindung), die eine Gestalt ablegt, die zum Feld der Entehrung des Pati (Śiva) geworden war.
