Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्
जानातेर् ज्ञानम् इत्याहुर् भगवान् ज्ञानसंनिधिः बन्धनादिपरीभावाद् ईश्वरः प्रोच्यते बुधैः
jānāter jñānam ityāhur bhagavān jñānasaṃnidhiḥ bandhanādiparībhāvād īśvaraḥ procyate budhaiḥ
Die Weisen erklären: „Erkenntnis“ ist das, wodurch man wahrhaft erkennt; der erhabene Bhagavān ist die bleibende Gegenwart der Erkenntnis selbst. Weil Er Fesselung und alle begrenzenden Zustände überragt und bezwingt, verkünden die Gelehrten Ihn als Īśvara — den Pati, den souveränen Herrn.
