Shloka 7

मेरुवर्णनम्—प्रमाण, दिग्विभाग, देवपुरी-विमान-निवासाः

मूलायामप्रमाणं तु विस्तारान् मूलतो गिरेः ऊचुर्विस्तारमस्यैव द्विगुणं मूलतो गिरेः

mūlāyāmapramāṇaṃ tu vistārān mūlato gireḥ ūcurvistāramasyaiva dviguṇaṃ mūlato gireḥ

Sie erklärten, das Grundmaß (der Basis) sei als die Breite vom Fuß des Berges zu nehmen; und weiter sagten sie, die Breite dieses Bauwerks solle das Doppelte jenes am Bergfuß genommenen Maßes betragen. So wird das Verhältnis festgelegt, damit die heilige Gestalt—würdig der Einsetzung Śivas—standhaft in dharmischer Symmetrie bestehe.
