Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
This verse shows Kaśyapa giving protection—“Do not fear”—and granting shelter; fearlessness arises when one is accepted under higher, righteous guardianship and becomes one-pointed (ananya-bhāva) in that shelter.
In the narrative of Canto 6 Chapter 18, the Maruts—born from Diti’s embryo and affected by Indra’s actions—are reassured and formally accepted by Kaśyapa as his own associates, transforming their destiny into divine service.
Practice steady, undivided commitment to a sacred ideal—daily japa/prayer, ethical living, and avoiding distractions that weaken spiritual focus—so one’s mind becomes loyal to dharma and devotion rather than fear and anxiety.
