अ॒जो अ॒ग्निर॒जमु॒ ज्योति॑राहुर॒जं जीव॑ता ब्र॒ह्मणे॒ देय॑माहुः । अ॒जस्तमां॒स्यप॑ हन्ति दू॒रम॒स्मिंल्लो॒के श्र॒द्दधा॑नेन द॒त्तः
ajó agnír ajám u jyótiḥ ā́hur ajáṃ jī́vatā brā́hmaṇe déyam ā́huḥ | ajás tamā́ṃsy ápa hanti dūráṃ asmíṃl lóke śraddádhānena dattáḥ ||
Unborn is Agni—Unborn, forsooth, they call the Light; Unborn, life-bestowing, they declare a gift to be bestowed upon the Brāhmaṇa. The Unborn drives darkness far away, when here in this world it is given by one of faithful mind.
Ungeboren ist Agni; ungeboren, fürwahr, nennen sie das Licht; ungeboren, lebenspendend, erklären sie als Gabe, die dem Brāhmaṇa zu geben ist. Der Ungeborene treibt die Finsternis weit hinweg, wenn er hier in dieser Welt von einem gläubigen Sinn dargebracht wird.
