अ॒भि क्र॑न्द स्त॒नया॒र्दयो॑द॒धिं भूमिं॑ पर्जन्य॒ पय॑सा॒ सम॑ङ्धि । त्वया॑ सृ॒ष्टं ब॑हु॒लमैतु॑ व॒र्षमा॑शारै॒षी कृ॒शगु॑रे॒त्वस्त॑म्

abhí kranda stanáyā́rdayódadhim bhū́miṃ parjanya páyasā́ sám aṅdhi | tváyā sṛṣṭáṃ bahulám etu várṣam āśā-reṣī́ kṛśá-gure íd vástam ||

Roar forth; thunder; smite the watery mass: with milk-like moisture, O Parjanya, bedew the Earth full. Let the abundant rain, sent forth by thee, come—unto the dwelling, even where hope is worn away, unto the lean and the heavy-laden.

Brülle hervor; donnere; schlage die wässrige Masse. Mit milchhafter Feuchte, o Parjanya, benetze die Erde reichlich. Möge der von dir entsandte, reiche Regen kommen – zur Wohnstatt; auch dorthin, wo die Hoffnung erschöpft ist, zum Mageren und zum Schwerbeladenen.
