Sukta 6
supárṇas tvā́ garútmān víṣa prathamám ā́vayat | ná amī́madaḥ ná ārū́rupa utā́smā abhavaḥ pitúḥ
The fair-winged Garutmant first drove thee off, O Poison. Thou didst not bewilder, thou didst not wound; yea, for this man thou wast made as a father.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (attribution varies by anukramaṇī)
Devata: Garuḍa/Suparṇa as viṣa-hara; addressed poison as adversary
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like (Atharvanic; compact negation formulae)
Primary: vira
Secondary: adbhuta
