Sukta 3

आ र॑भस्व जातवेद॒स्तेज॑स्व॒द्धरो॑ अस्तु ते । शरी॑रमस्य॒ सं द॒हाथै॑नं धेहि सु॒कृता॑मु लो॒के

ā́ rabhásva jātavedaḥ téjasvat dháro astu te | śarī́ram asya sám dahā́thainaṁ dhehi sukṛ́tām u lóke |

Seize him, O Jātavedas; let thine be brilliant bearing-power. Burn wholly the body of this man; and set him, verily, in the world of the well-deserving.

Ergreife ihn, o Jātavedas; leuchtend sei deine tragende Kraft. Verbrenne den Leib dieses Mannes ganz und gar; und setze ihn wahrlich in die Welt der Wohlverdienenden.
