द॒ण्डं हस्ता॑दा॒ददा॑नो ग॒तासोः॑ स॒ह श्रोत्रे॑ण॒ वर्च॑सा॒ बले॑न । अत्रै॒व त्वमि॒ह व॒यं सु॒वीरा॒ विश्वा॒ मृधो॑ अ॒भिमा॑तीर्जयेम

IAST Transliteration

daṇḍáṃ hastā́d ādádāno gatā́soḥ sahá śrótreṇa várcasā bálenā | atráivá tvám ihá vayáṃ suvī́rā víśvā mṛ́dho abhímātīr jayema

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Taking the staff from the hand of him whose breath is gone, with hearing, with splendour, with strength—here, even here, do thou remain; and here may we, rich in good heroes, conquer all assaults and all malignant plots.

Translation

Den Stab aus der Hand dessen nehmend, dessen Atem erloschen ist — mit Gehör, mit Glanz, mit Kraft — bleibe hier, ja eben hier; und hier mögen wir, reich an guten Helden, alle Angriffe und alle böswilligen Anschläge besiegen.
