अव॑ सृज॒ पुन॑रग्ने पि॒तृभ्यो॒ यस्त॒ आहु॑त॒श्चर॑ति स्व॒धावा॑न्। आयु॒र्वसा॑न॒ उप॑ यातु॒ शेषः॒ सं ग॑च्छतां त॒न्वा सु॒वर्चाः॑
áva sṛja púnar agne pitṛ́bhyo yás ta āhútaś cárati svadhā́vān | āyúrvásāna úpa yātu śéṣaḥ sáṃ gacchatāṃ tanvā̀ suvárchāḥ
Send him away again, O Agni, unto the Fathers—him who, offered to thee, fareth on, possessed of svadhā. Let what remaineth, clothing itself with life, draw near; let it come together wholly with the body, in goodly radiance.
Entsende ihn wieder, o Agni, zu den Vätern – ihn, der dir als Opfergabe dargebracht, weiterzieht, mit svadhā begabt. Was übrig bleibt, in Leben gekleidet, soll herannahen; es möge sich ganz mit dem Leib zusammenfügen, in schöner Leuchtkraft.
