आशासाना सौमनसं प्रजां सौभाग्यं रयिम्। पत्युरनुव्रता भूत्वा सं नह्यस्वामृताय कम्
āśāsā́nā saumanasáṃ prajā́ṃ saubhā́gyaṃ rayím | patyúr ánu-vratā bhūtvā́ sáṃ nahyasvāmṛ́tāya kám ||
Hoping for kindly concord, for offspring, good fortune, and wealth—become obedient to thy husband’s ordinance; bind thyself fast, wholly, for deathlessness and for bliss.
In Hoffnung auf gütige Eintracht, auf Nachkommenschaft, Glück und Reichtum — werde der Gelübde deines Gatten treu, folge seiner Ordnung; binde dich fest, ganz und gar, zur Unsterblichkeit und zum Heil.
