Sukta 1

शुची ते चक्रे यात्या व्यानो अक्ष आहतः । अनो मनस्मयं सूर्यारोहत् प्रयती पतिम्

śucī́ te cakré yātyā́ vyānó ákṣa ā́hataḥ | anó manasmáyaṃ sū́ryā́róhat prayatī́ patím

Pure are thy wheels for travel, broad-spread; the axle is well driven home. The mind-delighting car—Sūryā mounted it, faring forth unto her husband.

Rein sind deine Räder zur Fahrt, weit ausgreifend; die Achse ist fest eingeschlagen. Den geist-erfreuenden Wagen bestieg Sūryā, ausfahrend zu ihrem Gatten.
