যিনি কাজের সিদ্ধি দীর্ঘ সময় পরে লাভ করেন, তিনি ‘চিরকারী’ নামে পরিচিত; কিন্তু যে কেবল অলসতায় পড়ে থাকে, সে ‘দুর্মেধা’ (মন্দবুদ্ধি) বলা হয়।
