शूरो न धत्त आयुधा गभस्त्योः स्वः सिषासन्रथिरो गविष्टिषु । इन्द्रस्य शुष्ममीरयन्नपस्युभिरिन्दुर्हिन्वानो अज्यते मनीषिभिः ॥
śū́ro na dhatte ā́yudhā gabhastyóḥ svàḥ sisāsan rathiró gaviṣṭíṣu | índrasya śúṣmam ī́rayan apasyúbhir índur hinvānáḥ ajyate manīṣíbhiḥ ||
বীরের ন্যায় সে গভস্তি-হস্তে অস্ত্র ধারণ করে; স্বঃ (দীপ্ত লোক) কামনা করে, গবিষ্টি—রশ্মি-অন্বেষণে—রথপথে দৃঢ় থাকে। আপস্যু কর্মে ইন্দ্রের শুষ্ম উদ্দীপ্ত করে, অগ্রসর ইন্দু মনীষীদের ধিয়া দ্বারা অভিষিক্ত হয়।
