Sukta 5.38
यदीमिन्द्र श्रवाय्यमिषं शविष्ठ दधिषे । पप्रथे दीर्घश्रुत्तमं हिरण्यवर्ण दुष्टरम् ॥
yád īm indra śravā́yyam íṣaṃ śaviṣṭha dadhíṣe | papráthe dīrgha-śrút-tamaṃ híraṇya-varṇa dúṣṭaram ||
যখন, হে ইন্দ্র, হে শবিষ্ঠ (অতিশয় বলবান), তুমি সেই শ্রবায়্য (শ্রবণযোগ্য) ইষম্ (প্রেরক শক্তি/বল) স্থাপন করো, তখন তুমি দীর্ঘশ্রুত্তম—সর্বদূর ও সর্বদীর্ঘ শ্রবণ পর্যন্ত—প্রসারিত হও; হে হিরণ্যবর্ণ, শত্রুবলদের জন্য দুস্তর (অতিক্রম-অসাধ্য) হও।
