दितितपः-शक्रपरिचर्या-गर्भभेदः
Diti’s Penance, Indra’s Service, and the Severing of the Embryo
गते तस्मिन्नरश्श्रेष्ठ दिति: परमहर्षिता।कुशप्लवनमासाद्य तपस्तेपे सुदारुणम्।।1.46.8।।
gate tasmin nara-śreṣṭha ditiḥ parama-harṣitā | kuśa-plavanam āsādya tapas tepe su-dāruṇam || 1.46.8 ||
হে নরশ্রেষ্ঠ! তিনি প্রস্থান করলে পরম আনন্দে পূর্ণ দিতি কুশপ্লবন বনে পৌঁছে অতি কঠোর তপস্যা আরম্ভ করলেন।
"O foremost among men! after Kasyapa had left, Diti exceedingly delighted (at the prospect of having sons) reached Kushaplavana, and practised intense mortifications.
Dharma is presented as disciplined effort: desired ends are pursued through tapas, endurance, and adherence to conditions.
After Kāśyapa leaves, Diti goes to Kuśaplavana to perform intense austerities to secure the promised boon.
Determination (niścaya) and endurance in austerity, even when motivated by personal aims.
